Venetian Plaster (often including Marmorino or Stucco Veneziano) is a type of highly refined Lime Plaster. It contains ultra-fine marble dust and is applied in multiple thin layers, then burnished (polished) with a trowel. The unique difference is its goal: to achieve a high-gloss, translucent, marble-like sheen, whereas general Lime Plaster may be specified for a matte or soft-sheen, textured look.
