The main difference is the luminous, iridescent shimmer. While traditional Venetian plaster provides a smooth, matte or polished stone-like finish, pearly plaster has a subtle, metallic glow. This effect is achieved by either adding fine pearlescent pigments directly to the plaster or by applying a specialized pearlescent glaze over the final coat.
