For a modern house demanding both a flawless, continuous surface and the ability to integrate metallic additives, a simple painted surface wouldn’t suffice. The key was to introduce texture, depth, and shimmer while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic.

Microcement was the definitive choice over other decorative plaster for this house, and here is why:

• Seamless Integration: Microcement is a polymer-modified, cement-based coating known for its ability to create an entirely seamless, joint-free surface. This was crucial for the curved range hood and the fireplace, ensuring a clean, architectural look that flows beautifully.

The true artistry in this Etobicoke project came from customizing the microcement mix. We hand-troweled the microcement in a neutral, taupe-beige base. While the surface was setting, our artisans skillfully incorporated fine metallic flakes and powders. This delicate process involved using Mica Stone Flakes in Gold, Silver, and Bronze variants, offering both versatility and elegance to the microcement.

Crafted to elevate surfaces to new heights of sophistication, this versatile additive brings a touch of glamour to any space. Enriched with a mineral finish derived from natural components and stone inert, our Mica Stone Flake ensures durability and longevity, making it a perfect choice for both residential and commercial settings.

The integration of these flakes achieved three key effects:
