Metallic Venetian plaster, especially a finish using Marmorino or Stucco Veneziano, is a lime-based plaster with fine marble dust that is applied in multiple layers with a trowel. Unlike paint, it offers significant three-dimensional texture, depth, and movement. The metallic component (often silver or gold mica/paint) is either mixed into the final layer or applied on top, giving it a luminous, high-end shimmer that cannot be replicated by simple metallic pigments in a paint base.
